Default compile problem

Not sure if I posted this so I am doing it again. Sorry if its already posted.

My compile code option in vba excell 2003 is grayed out in one of my apps .
How do I get it back????--

I get that if the workbook doesn't need to be compiled - for example, right
after I comile it.
