Default vba code to insert an range of Excel cells into a Word document

I am trying to find vba code to take data from a range of cells in Excel and
insert them into a Word document.
I am using Office XP.
It is not important that the data is linked to the original spreadsheet,
although if it is easy, then it would be nice to have a choice of methods.
I am a novice at vba
