Microsoft Query Help
Alright so here is the issue I have been tasked with a project in which
I need to import data from one spreadsheet into another. Everything has been going smooth but I have run into a problem. On the spreadsheet that I am importing to contains three worksheets, one in which a parent child relationship is defined, one where the child is given a number, and one where the adult is given a number. The worksheet I am importing from contains a childs name and their parents name on the same row so importing this information and maintaining the relationship is simple. The problem is that two children may share the same parent. So my question is how can I tell excel not to import duplicate parent records into the new spreadsheet. Below is a crude drawing of what I need to do. <img src="http://img154.imageshack.us/img154/6464/bigig6.jpg"</img |
