Default capturing date of entering data in a spreadsheet

I have a spreadsheet related to project tracking. The users are
supposed to enter info about progress daily. I want to capture the date
on which entry is made, and keep arecord of it. the format of
spreadsheet is attached. pls help as it is required urgently.

Can't you make it a shared workbook and then switch on track changes?
