Default Telnet from Excel 2000

I know you can telnet using a hyperlink to open a telnet session window. Can
VBA be used to script commands to the window for Login:, Password: and other
commands that would normally be typed into the session window? If so, how?
Are there any examples of this somewhere? Also, is there a way to copy or
import the telnet window results to a worksheet?
