I have built a macro in Excel that creates a pivot table report automatically
based on a set of data. This data contains several columns - we of which correspond to the 12 months of year. However, these months are not always going to be in the same order (ie. they will END with the current month). Excel seems to take the EXACT name in the column heading cell and hard code it into the macro. This is fine, as I've given the 12 monthly columns general names. However, once the pivot table is created I want to RENAME the 12 columns with the ACTUAL month names they represent. I can't seem to get the macro to dynamically name/title these cells in the pivot table. All I want to do is refer the column heading cells in the pivot table back to specific cells in my 'raw data'. Any suggestions? (Does my explanation make sense?) |
