Default More information on Method 'Open' of object 'Workbooks' failed

Is there any way to get more information on the "Method 'Open' of
object 'Workbooks' failed" error?

I create xml Excel files and I particularly would like to know in which
tag the error occured.

Thanks!

I doubt Excel itself will give you much, but using the MS XML parser etc to
check for a "well-formed' document etc should help.
I don't use XML really, but that may lead in the right direction.
