When sending an excel doccument out using Excel Professional 2003, end users
are receiving it and getting funky calculations from formulas like 4.00 across the board when each value should be different. Does any one know why this is? Shouldn't the software be backwards compatible? |

The software is backward compatible for features that were supported in that
old version. Not to say that there are never any problems, but they should be rare. Certainly funky calculations isn't a known problem for most builtin worksheet functions. (actually, none come to mind). do the users have calculation set to automatic. Did they force a recalc? -- Regards, Tom Ogilvy "Dave" wrote: When sending an excel doccument out using Excel Professional 2003, end users are receiving it and getting funky calculations from formulas like 4.00 across the board when each value should be different. Problem is end users are insurance adjusters without much (if any) computer
knowledge running software that was out dated years ago. The formula's are simple "ifthen" statements and logic which i feel shouldn't be a problem as it shouldn't have changed over the years, however still they come up with the number 4 in every column, seems odd. I don't know exactly what you mean when you ask if they forced a recalculation? "Tom Ogilvy" wrote: The software is backward compatible for features that were supported in that old version.
