In the instructions for the installation of CFplus it says install the .xla and .ini file in the same directory and install the add in from ther , which directory are they referring to?

Probably this works from any directory. To make it easier to track after the
fact, I would create a directory like

C:\Program Files\CFplus\

to hold just the add-in and INI file.

Thanks for the prompt reply. is a directory the same as a folder? If not
how do you create one, I made a folder in installed the file but it made no
difference, I presume that what is supposed to happen is that cfplus is
supposed load everytime you load excel.
