Default column aliases dropped with database query

using microsoft query for population via a mysql database the column aliases
are dropped.

i have already attempted the fix described he

the version of excel i am running is 2002 sp3.

any assistance or advice would be most appreciated. please let me know if
there is a separate forum that would be more suitable for this question.
