Default CTRL buttons?

In excel is there some sort of CTRL + "D" or something that will insert
Todays Date etc....

Default CTRL buttons?

CTRL + ; to enter a static today's date.

CTRL + SHIFT + ; to enter static now time.

Using Help and "keyboard shortcuts" you can discover many more of these.
