Default When will Excel program with .net framework

Does MS Excel macro and scripts still use VBA or does it use the .Net
Framework? If it's not, are there plans for Office to use the .Net
Framework in the future?

Thanks,

Gabe

VBA - no announced plans

that said, the .Net family can be used automate office and other COM based
applications, but it is/they are still an external application.
