Beejay,
Firstly, you cannot change the macro security setting programmatically. If you could, it would be pretty pointless. Secondly, if you disable macros, this code would not run anyway, so ..ScreenUpdating would not be affected. NickHK "BEEJAY" wrote in message ... The following opens the file, accessess the file, no problem. I need code to "select" the default "macros NOT enabled" Setting. Otherwise, I'm constantly getting a error message. I've tried using 'select'. I need the screenupdating = False, because of size and complexity of file. Sub BB_Chassis_Draft() Application.ScreenUpdating = False Workbooks.Open ("S:\10_SALES MANUALS\Z_JFS\0_Spread_Sheets\10_Modifications\7_N EW 2006\4_Updating\BB-Pup-Chassis-2006_R1C0.xls") Application.ScreenUpdating = True End Sub |
