Default extract data from pivot via vba (Getpivot is not convenient)

Hi,

We have a tool which accesses the database and produces reports
directly in a pivot table form. The data within the pivot ranges from
300k to 600k lines. (Am using Office 2007 Beta 2, hence possible to
find out the number of total lines by double clicking on the summary
totals)

The rows in the database comprises of more than 10 different
parameters. The Pivot itself hangs if I bring more than 4 or 5
parameters within the rows from the "Page" heading.

Getpivotdata only works if the data is visible. Also if additional
parameters are added or columns are changes, the formula gives a "Ref"
error.

Is it possible to access the database within the Pivot table to
generate summary reports without expanding the Pivot.

Regards
Sandip.

How about creating a new summary pivot table from your master pivot
table, then extracting the data from it?
