Default Loops to find blanks then loop to find populated

Hello .... Help with some looping would be hugely appreciated. Have
tried all sorts but nothing is working. Need someone who is any good
at this (rules me out!)

To simplify, with two columns of data I need to find the first blank
that occurs in column A, then find the first cell that is NOT blank in
column B and insert that value into the blank in column A. I need to
repeat this for the second blank in column A and the second value in
column B and so forth and so forth. There are always varying numbers
of rows, therefore no uniformity between how many rows occur between
blanks in A and the values in B. Can't use any formulas because the
columns contain other types of data.

Don't see any reason why this couldn't work bottom up also - I know
that this is sometimes the easier approach but similarly, I am
stumped!!

Thanks in anticipation of someone shining a light on this for me! B J.
