Default User form help

Hi,
I have a user form that is shown using the Workbook Open property.

If I switch to a different application on my desktop and then go bac
to Excel, I get the user form popping up without the excel backgroun.
the only way I can get excel back is by closing the userform.

does anyone know why this happens or how I can stop it?

many thanks,
Mat

no, there's the following in my code though:

Application.DisplayAlerts = False

Application.ScreenUpdating = False

would these cause anything similar?
