Default add a Text Box and a Check Box on a sheet

I want to add a text and a check box onto a worksheet, but can't seem to get
them to work. I'm the objects from the control toolbox toolbar, but after
that I'm lost. What am I doing wrong? Is there soemthing more to it to
activate them? Please advise.

After you drag the controls on the worksheet, you're still in
Design Mode. To exit design mode, click the upper left button on
the Controls command bar (it looks like a ruler and a triangle).

Thank You! Now how do I change the font and font size?

While you are in design mode, click the Properties button on the
Controls command bar (upper-right corner of the command bar, next
to the design mode button). This will bring up a screen that
allows you to change the various properties of the object.
