The case of the moving image
I have recently installed a number of Excel fixes from the Microsoft updates website under the advice of the "Excel has encountered and error window". The send error report to Microsoft functionality is terrific. There is no doubt that it identified the error and pointed out the correct fix I needed to correct it. My congratulations to whoever implemented that. However since I have installed these patches I find the images on my worksheets jump to the left whenever I use the print preview screen. The print preview looks correct but on returning to the sheet images seem to have randomly moved, always left. I always add images to my sheets in design mode using the control toolbox taskbar. Setting the "do not move or size with cells" option doesn't seem to make any difference. My Excel version is 10.6501 SP3. Is this a know error? How can I track down what's happening? - Rm |

Just an update, this behaviour doesn't seem to occur when the object is set to "move and size with cells" but it does occur when set to "move but don't size" and "don't move and size". I am also finding that other controls such as checkboxes will move about, not just images. Things only seem to move when they are visible in the print preview. |

Sounds like a known problem for which a patch is available:

Yep, that's it. Thanks very much. Looks as though I need to get "Excel 2002 post-Service Pack 3 hotfix package, May 2004". I'm reading that I can only obtain this by actually calling a support help-desk, it that true? - Rm "Tim Williams" wrote: Sounds like a known problem for which a patch is available: http://support.microsoft.com/default...Product=xl2002 Tim "Robert Mulroney" '''' wrote in message ... I think it has since been rolled into one of the service packs, so see if you can get the most recent of those from the MS download
pages. Tim -- Tim Williams Palo Alto, CA "Robert Mulroney" '''' wrote in message ... Yep, that's it. Thanks very much.
