Default difference Close and Nothing in query



for example
dim db as dao.database
.....
.....
db.Close
set db = Nothing

i want to know that difference of upper 2 code.

Default difference Close and Nothing in query

The first closes the actual database file, the second empties the value
assigned to the variable "db".
