Default can data be sent from a cell in excel to a database table?

Good morning,

Softwa Excel 2003
Database: Intersystems Cache

Here is what I want to do:
I have an application that is tied to a Cache database. I will launch an
Excel spreadsheet from within the application. The user will modify some
fields that need to be passed back to certain fields in the Cache table. Is
this possible?

Summed up, I am trying to find a way to send specific cells from Excel to
specific fields in the open record of the Cache database.

Any ideas or suggestions?

TIA,
Mark
