Default Shared workspace vs share workbook

This is a general question.

Under what circumstance that I should use share workbook or shared
workspace. What is benefit of using one over another?

Thanks

Default Shared workspace vs share workbook

To the best of my knowledge, the concept of a workspace is pretty dated for
the most part. It goes back to xl4 and prior when a workbook could only
contain one worksheet. A workspace was used to define a virtual multisheet
workbook.

I would stick with sharing a workbook.

If the workspace has taken on some new meaning with regard to some of the
sharepoint server stuff, then disregard my comments.
