Pardon the x-post again...felt this would be better posted here.

Is there a way to do the following:

Sheet 1 Column A has an autofilter. When an item is chosen, is i
possible for it to trigger an action in another sheet?

The action would be to find the same item in Sheet 2 Column A as man
times as it occurs and then hide everything else that does not matc
(by hiding the rows that the non-matching items appear in)
