Default all filenames on A:\ into Excel?

I figured it out by tweaking a macro which I had to download
mp3-filenames

Norbert

I have a lot of 3.5" disks which I would like to sort out.
I need a macro which will fetch the filenames (without extension) from
the floppy and copies them into column A (just underneath each other)
It would be great, if the macro could ask me for an input (disk
number) so I can put in the number, which then should be stored in
column B.

How is something like that to be done?
I checked the history of this newsgroup but unfortunately I couldn"t
find something suitable.

Thanks for any help.
