Default Images and use in excel

I want to create a button that reads in an .jpeg image (of your choosing
by using getfilename).
The image has to whitish yellow dots surrounded black rods sticking
out.
This rods are on the same whitish yellow color blackground.
I need to find the center of the these dots and then out put the the
vertical and hortizal distance between the dots.
I also need to find the smaller of the two and output that.
*_ANY_* help would be great.[/u]
