everytime I open the excel workbook I put the macro in.

Yes.
Say you called your macro 'MyMacro'.
In the Workbook_Open event of the 'ThisWorkbook' module, call your macro.

Hi WannaBe,

Any code you place in the workbook's Workbook_Open or Auto_Open procedures
will run when the workbook is opened.

Rename your Macro to "Auto_Open".
ie.
Sub Auto_Open()
'Code Here
End Sub
