Default Date in data imported from MYOB to Excel 2003

When sending a report from MYOB (Version 13) to Excel 2003 the date in the
Excel spreadsheet is incorrect. This problem did not occur in Excel 2000.
Some dates in the Excel report show as MM/DD/YYYY (Regional Settings are
DD/MM/YYYY) and others it changes to text.

Reformatting the dates in Excel 2003 does not fix the problem as the numeric
value of MM/DD/YYYY is there for some and the others are text and not dates.
ie the data is inaccurate by the time it is shown in the Excel 2003 report.

Is there something I can do to solve this annoying problem? I would really
appreciate assistance.
