=IF((A1=B1)*(A1<=C1)*(A2=B2)*(A2<=C2)*(A3=B3)*( A3<=C3)*(A4=B4)*(A4<=C4)*(A5=B5)*(A5<=C5)*(A6=B 6)*(A6<=C6)*(A7=B7)*(A7<=C7)*(A8=B8)*(A8<=C8)*(A 9=B9)*(A9<=C9)*(A10=B10)*(A10<=C10),"","OUTSIDE RANGE")
Using the table below. Adjust to your needs. A B C 1 1 0 1 2 2 0 2 3 3 0 1 4 4 0 8 5 5 0 2 6 6 0 2 7 7 0 1 8 8 0 9 9 9 0 3 10 10 0 7 You could also use the AND function, but it has a limit of 30. If any relation is not true it will return false. "tsammons" wrote: OK - I have about 15 different cells which contain numerical values. If any of the cells are outside of the ranges I have set up with validation, then I would like a text phrase to appear at the bottom of the document. I can use the "if" function to program the text phrase to appear, but it only works with up to seven of the cells. Someone indicated that the lookup function may work, but I can't seem to get it to. Any ideas? See below for more info. Value Range 1 0-1 2 0-2 3 0-1 4 0-8 5 0-2 6 0-2 7 0-1 8 0-9 9 0-3 10 0-7 In this example, since # 3 is outside of the spec. range, I would like the text "Out of Range" to appear at the bottom of the worksheet. The "out of range" needs to be entered if ANY of the values are outside of the spec. range. The example above is greatly simplified. The actual values and ranges are not all in the same row or columns. Any help is GREATLY appreciated -- tsammons ------------------------------------------------------------------------ tsammons's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=30335 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=501094 |
