Default Machine specific errors?

Hi all,

I have written a couple of macros for a friend of mine. Nothing special
just a few web query routines that collect and collate a bit of data.

These run perfect all the time on my machine, Excel 2003 and Win XP.

They don't seem to run on my friends machine/s. I know he is using Office
2003 and Win XP

This same problem has happened on 2 machines, his home pc and one at his
works. He seems to get the message that the sheet is locked for editing
and is open as read only, kind of like he has a copy open on a remote
netwoked machine and he's tried to open it again locally. He assures me he
hasn't and the sheet is on the local machine. The next error seems to be
that the sheet can't find the macro, which I know is in there.

Strangely in the screenshot he sent me he has 2 copies of the sheet open
when this 'can't find macro' error appears. He doesn't seem to know why
there is 2 versions of the sheet open.

He has had it working ok on a different machine at work, so I'm certain
it's either machine settings or user error. I'm tempted to lean towards
user error but am curios to know if anyone has come across something
similar with different versions?

Thanks

Ron

Might help if you included the code in question.

Thanks but it seems it was user error after all.
