Perfect. That was it. I never realized that data validation was so
flexible. A new tool in my arsenal! <g It works perfectly and I prefer it
over the usu. comments.

The floating toolbar in code is called a CommandBar check VBA help and
search this forum for lots of example code.

Darn, wish I could see what the code is in this invoice example I have. But
it's neat to know what to look for now. I'll just have to hunt around for
examples.
