Default VB code gone missing

I have an excel sheet with several buttons for running modules.
It all works fine: when I open the sheet it asks me to disable/enable
macros. Say yes everything is fine and the buttons do their stuff.

When i opened it recently, the disable/enable macros come up as usual,
but when i pressed a button it just brought up the format picture box
for the button; it would not run the code. I can't find the code
anywhere.

I think it may be connected with the sheet getting saved in excel 5.0
format. I have tried saving it back to the latest version, but it is
still the same.

Any ideas.

Cheers,

Ian,
