Default How do I activate an facility from inside a macro?

Hi

I am new at this, so please bear with me....
Within Excel at work, I have a facility to transfer data from and to an
iSeries machine. I can use these facilities manually, however, I would
like to activate this facility within a macro.

I have tried using record macro, however, when using this it does not
record those actions. I am now delving into the code of the macro and
trying the 'Activate' code, however, I can only seem to load other MS
products.

Could somebody point me in the right direction on how to activate this
facility.

I believe the toolbar buttons have come about as an add-in and I am
using Excel version 2000.

any help would be appreciated.

thanks
