But, only need a summary, like:

456897 Brooms 19

567890 Dust Pans 18

Number of entries varies for each product, but identical items are listed in
a group.

Do you really want to use VBA or will a function suffice?
If so, use
=SUMIF("Your List Range Here","456897 Broom","Your Range to Sum")
