Thanks Tom, I read all I could find in the knowledge base before posting the
question. I use the autorun.inf all the time, but for .exe type files...the
same codes obviously don't work for an .xls file so I am looking for that
specifically....
I appreciate your response.

How about point it to a vbs script that fires up Excel and opens your file.

Obviously this isn't something i have done or played with, but just a
thought.
