I have one user of a widely used add-in of mine reporting that Excel pops up
an add-in password dialog on exit that is hard to get rid of. This user is not using Google Desktop, so this is not the cause. MSDN suggests problems with unrealeased references in dlls in KB280454 but I cannot see how this can be happening. There are dlls in play - e.g. the common controls - but none are being passed a reference to Excel and there is no scope for referential circularity. Looking through the archives I have seen a few other references to this problem without Google installed, but no solution posted. Has anyone solved this or does anyone have suggestions as to the cause. Thanks, Robin Hammond www.enhanceddatasystems.com |
