I am looking to use Excel to develop a gantt chart style form for a
residential builder that would show each step in the building process along the left, with the ability to pick start and end dates (from a pop up calendar), and to the right of that have it show the days of the week (Monday thru Friday) with a colored bar to indicate the start and end dates selected for the task. I've seen a vendor product that does this similarly, and the app opens up in Excel so I believe it is merely a fancy excel spreadsheet. I've done quite a bit with Excel but nothing to this degree. I'd like to develop this for a friend of mine because the vendor product is obviously not customizable. Any thoughts or ideas would be of assistance. Thank you. |

Please do send it if you still have it.
Thank you. "Jim Cone" wrote in message ... R, I have a small, simple Microsoft workbook chart example from about 7 years ago. It demonstrates a floating bars Gantt-style timeline chart for a project schedule. It has some limited notes and explanatory material. (no calendar popup) I don't believe MS still has it available for download. Glad to send you a copy if you are interested. Remove XXX from my email address. Jim Cone San Francisco, USA XX "R. R,
Assuming your posted email address is correct, I will send the workbook as soon as my RCN mail server is running. It has been down now about 14 hours (it is being improved?).
