Default Letters and numbers only

How do I make sure the user can only input letters and numbers? No
spaces or symbols?

Input where? In a cell? In a textbox? If textbox, what kind of textbox
and where is it located?

If a cell, use the change event to examine what has been entered and react
accordingly.
