Default PASSING VARIABLE TO .xlT FILE FROM .xlA FILE (CONTAINS 'Auto_Open' PROCEDURE)

I have an .xlA file with an 'Auto_Open' procedure (it is fired by
Windows XP 'Scheduled Task'); I want to pass a variable defined in thi
file to an .xlT file. If, in the .xlT file, I set-up the .xlA file as
'Reference', then the macro goes berserk because it is executing th
'Auto_Open' procedure. Any ideas?

TIA
