Sum doesn't work with Dollar as Dollar converts result to text.

Have a look at the Dollar and Round commands

eg
a1 has 33 in it

a2 =DOLLAR(A1/4,0)
a3 =ROUND(A4/4,0)

Both Result = $8

Sum command does not appear to work with Dollar command but does work
with Round command
