Default Macro keyboard shortcuts

I have created a macro and assigned (in the macro recorder wizard) a keyboard
shortcut "e" (which shouldn't interfere with other macros in Excel). After
using the macro for some time it has stopped running when I enter Cntl+e.
Can this be corrected by a means other than creating a new macro and pasting
the old macro to it?

I tried this and it still did not work. The shortcut key shows in the
appropriate box but the shortcut does not work. Other suggestions? Thanks!

This did not work. The shortcut shows in the box but doesn't work. Could
there be something in my Excel setup that is blocking it? Thanks!

Mitch: Take a look at where you've stored the macro, and to which workbook
the keystroke has been assigned. I've stored all my macros in my
Personal.xls (against much advice, I hasten to add - I just haven't gotten
around to sorting it out yet!). Whenever I open an Excel workbook, my
Personal also opens, giving me access to my macros. If you've stored this
macro in another workbook and it's not open, your keystroke isn't going to
activate anything.

For more info, go to Help (F1) and in the Answer Wizard type "run macro
shortcut".

Default Macro keyboard shortcuts

I'm having the same issue as Mitch, but with Excel 2007. I created a macro
in the current spreadsheet and assigned the letter "h" to the shortcut.
However, when I go to a cell and then hit Ctrl-h, I get the search/replace
dialog.

What am I missing?

Mitch,

Tools, Macro, Macros. Select the macro, and click Options. You should see
the keyboard shortcut there. Assign it if needed.
