Default Using popups instead of Message Box

I'd like to switch from using Message Boxes where the user has to click on OK
or Yes etc to close. I have been informed that a pop up with a mouse over
type command may be more suitable. Either that or a Message box that will
auto dissapear after x seconds.

???
