I think I've discovered another MS undocumented feature (seeing as how I
can't find any information pertaining to my issue) and wanted to see if anyone had experienced the same problem and if they had any workarounds. We've created an extensive dashboard reporting system through Excel pulling information down through SQL via pivot tables. I came across the add-in that MS published that allows you to tie to Analysis Services through a different mean. While it is rather interesting and works well, I discovered that it crippled different macros. If I had any code tied to a worksheet, it wouldn't run. I only noticed this after the reports weren't being refreshed (even if the pivot table options had the option checked to automatically refresh upon opening.) After methodically trying to find what was holding the macros from running, I uninstalled the MS add-in and presto, my macros were once again fully functional. I'd like to use the SQL add-in as it was helpful but I can't have it kill the rest of the project. Any ideas on a workaround? Thanks! James |
