Having problem adding up column wondering if HLOOKUP is the cause

Column D is a number entered manually
Column E has an HLOOKUP formula in it
Column F is D*E
I can add column D no problem
When I try to add column F I get an error- #N/A
Does anyone know how I can copy this column?
