Default Database output page -- Excel

I know a little bit about using excel (just general stuff) and I wa
wondering how I go about setting up a Excel Spreadsheet to recieve an
place Variable information from a mysql database.

So, the viewer searches through a database and finds the informatio
for a "sale" dating back 1 week.

It has invoice #, date, and sales information.

I would like them to be able to click a button/link on the website an
have it output the variable's to a waiting .xls file.

I know how to setup the webpage, just not sure how to make the .xs
file actually accept it.

Any help on this would be greatly apreciated.

Thanks,
Gre
