I haven't tested, but for data that is already in the worksheet, I would
expect sort to be very efficient. But you can see that Howard Kaikow, with a similar expectation, had a different experience when testing against a sort routine in the old Word macro language (not Excel). http://www.standards.com/ Still, sorting is a bread and butter capability built into Excel. -- Regards, Tom Ogilvy "Jef Gorbach" wrote in message ...
