help with macro
in cell C10 I input employee work times, in cell A1 is the current date.
When the date is a weekend I want to replace the times previously entered in cell C10 with the word "OFF". I want this to be automatic on weekend days. Thank you for any help you may provide. Brian |

help with macro
Hi Brian,
Here is some code that traps when A1 is changed Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range) On Error GoTo ws_exit: Application.EnableEvents = False If Target.Address = "$A$1" Then If Weekday(Target.Value) = 1 Or Weekday(Target.Value) = 7 Then Me.Range("C10").Value = "OFF" End If End If ws_exit: Application.EnableEvents = True End Sub 'This is worksheet event code, which means that it needs to be 'placed in the appropriate worksheet code module, not a standard 'code module. To do this, right-click on the sheet tab, select 'the View Code option from the menu, and paste the code in. -- HTH Bob Phillips "Brian" wrote in message ... in cell C10 I input employee work times, in cell A1 is the current date.
