Default visual studio tools for office

Hi,

Can anyone tell me if visual studio tools for office enables one to do
anything they couldn't do using visal studio? If not, does it make things
easier?

It sounds like an intriguing product, and there's an awful lot of material
to read to find out what it does -- but from the little I've read it seems
like it may merely be bits of code that the developer modifies.

Right now, when I do work on Excel, I use the VB editor in Excel. This is
not nearly as good as the visual studio environment -- additionally, it seems
that classes don't work exactly the same way. I'd appreciate a better way to
do things.

What do you think?

VTSO creates a DLL file containing a class called
OfficeCodeBehind which is linked via custom properties to a
particular workbook. Once this connection is established, you can
use all the tools in VSNET. I don't use VTSO very often, because
it doesn't really provide much more than does VBA and VB6.
