Default Creating a Pivot Table directly from an Array

Is it possible to use a VBA Array containing the data to create a
pivot table. I have extracted it from a sheet and manipulated it in
the array. I then want to create a pivot table but don't want to write
it back to the sheet. Source data doesn't seem to accept an array. I
know it will accept an array to link to extrenal data but that isn't
what I want to do.
Tahnks in advance for any help
