Default Form Focus and SelStart

On a form, modeless so I can access custom menus, I have
several textboxes. If I move the focus from the form by
selecting another worksheet and then return, there is no
cursor or other visual indication as to where the focus
is. The focus has not changed of course from the last
texbox but where there was a cursor blinking merrily
away, there is now nothing.
I have tried 'ActiveControl', 'SetFocus', SelStart,
SelLength and the UserForm_Click event but nothing
returns the missing cursor. Only by clicking in the
textbox will it return. It would be nice to do this
programatically

I would appreciate any advice.

Geoff
