Reducing file size (for archiving, not active files)
I have found that one way to quickly and easily reduce file size for a
Workbook that contains macros is this: Open the file; disable macros; save the file. In some cases, I've seen around 20% file size reduction on 250k files. Sadly, next time the file is opened and macros are enabled, the file size jumps up again. Still, this could be a useful step before emailing or archiving a document. If interested in another way to reduce file size, please read my related question in this newsgroup. -Shadhi |
