Default Outlook Tasks assigned from Excel?

Can Outlook Tasks be created and assigned to other people from within Excel?

The application needs to assign selected tasks to several people. I can
create emails to each, but I would like to create tasks instead.

Your assistance would be appreciated. Thank you.
